Covid-19

Empty Concert Hall

Face-to-face lessons are now permitted. I am meticulous with the steps I take to maintain a secure teaching space. These measures allow me to teach you safely in person. I hope they will give you full confidence in knowing that you are learning in a clean environment.

As your teacher, I follow the guidelines below:

  • If I am experiencing any Covid-19-like symptoms (high temperature, a continuous cough, a loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, fever, chills or a headache), I will promptly inform you and I will only teach virtually. I will check my temperature daily.

  • I take a daily Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Lateral Flow Test. If I have a positive test result, or if I am contact traced, I will follow the Government requirements and I will only teach virtually.

  • I wear a certified face mask during lessons.

  • I wash my hands between each lesson using antibacterial soap.

  • All touch points are sanitised between each lesson.

  • The teaching space is as naturally ventilated as possible during and between lessons.

  • I allow a 15 minute gap between each lesson to ensure students don't come into direct contact.

  • I socially distance as much as I am reasonably able to.

  • I welcome virtual lessons (as opposed to, or as a partial alternative to face-to-face lessons).

  • I encourage contactless payments via mobile banking.

In addition, I kindly ask my students to follow the guidelines below:

  • If you are experiencing any Covid-19-like symptoms (high temperature, a continuous cough, a loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, fever, chills or a headache), or if you are contact traced, please promptly inform me and do not attend your lesson. A virtual lesson will be offered in lieu.

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided before and after your lesson.

  • As long as you are comfortable doing so, please wear a face covering for the duration of your lesson.

  • Maintain social distance as much as reasonably possible.

  • Use a toilet facility prior to your lesson.

  • Bring your own drink.

  • Ensure you arrive promptly at the time your lesson is due to begin. (If you are early, you will be respectfully required to wait outdoors. Please note, there is not a shelter outside my home to wait under).

  • Students under 18 years old are permitted to be accompanied to lessons, but only by a maximum of one parent/guardian.

  • You are welcome to bring your own keyboard to your lesson, if you are more comfortable with doing so.

  • Opt for virtual lessons if possible. Bi-weekly virtual lessons alternated with face-to-face lessons are always an option.

  • Where possible, make contactless payment via mobile banking.
